Mines and processing plants are among the hardest places a coating has to survive: abrasion, water, dust, chemical splash and heat, often all at once. Marindec has supplied mining, steel and farming customers in Southern Africa for more than 30 years, from 5L tins to 200L drums.

Safety colours
Mining equipment and plant are commonly specified in SANS 1091 colours. Marindec lists Signal Red A11, Golden Yellow B49, Dark Admiralty Grey G12 and more. See the full SANS colour chart. Fleet and corporate colours can be matched to RAL.
Getting the most from the coating
- Blast to Sa 2½ for exterior and wet areas, and prime the same day. See steel surface preparation.
- Stripe-coat edges, welds and bolts first. That's where corrosion starts.
- Build to the datasheet film thickness and check it with a gauge. See the film thickness guide.
- Plan maintenance: spot-repair damage early, before rust undercuts the coating.
